The Ozarks of Missouri and Arkansas offer some of the finest trout fishing in the world, yet it is greatly overlooked as a fly fishing destination. This is fine by the anglers that frequent these waters. The Ozarks is home to monster brown trout as well as a chance to complete the Arkansas Grand Slam (Brook Trout, Brown Trout, Cutthroat Trout, and Rainbow Trout all in the same day on the same river) on the White River tailwater system; large rainbows in Lake Taneycomo; a chance to chase the genetically pure strain of McCloud Rainbows on Crane Creek as well as wild trout in other Ozark streams; and numerous other fisheries that provide habitat for Brown and Rainbow Trout in Missouri's 300+ miles of spring fed waters. Add the tailwaters in Arkansas to the spring fed streams of Missouri and the Ozarks offer an incredible adventure in fly fishing for trout.

This site is a compilation of resources for the Ozark Fly Fisherman and is an attempt to chronicle my pursuit to trout bum happiness. Whether you are looking for stream information, fishing reports, or looking to book a guided fishing trip in the Ozarks, my hope is that you will find it on OC.com. Here is to tight loops, good mends, and screaming reels -- perhaps we will cross on the stream.

Fish Hard,
Matt Tucker
